Tutorial Tuesday: Victorian Christmas Ornament

I've still got Christmas on the brain. Today's tutorial will show you how to make a Victorian inspired Christmas ornament. You can hang these on your tree, on doorknobs around the house, or give them as gifts.
Materials:
  • Chipboard (or cardboard)
  • Decorative paper
  • Victorian images
  • Ribbon or lace
  • Hole punch (optional)
1. Cut out decorative paper.
Place the chipboard (or cardboard) onto the decorative paper. Trace around the chipboard on the paper, then cut around the lines you made.

2. Decorate the chipboard.
Glue the decorative paper onto the chipboard, along with any other images or decorative elements you want on your ornament. I chose to use an image of an angel, surrounded by scrap bits of gold fibers. I also used a gold leaf pen on the edges of the chipboard.

3. Attach the ribbon.
You can punch holes in your chipboard and thread the ribbon through, or you can adhere the ribbon to the back of the chipboard. The chipboard I used was too thick to punch holes through, so I glued the ribbon to the back instead.

Great idea - thank you! for a variation I am going to use a photo from the main family event that happened this year so everyone will have a keepsake on their tree for years to come.
